The World Health Organization (WHO) outlines that the number of older persons will rise from 900 million to 2 billion between 2015 and 2050. As the world of work changes and the population of older persons rises, many older women face challenges in achieving equitable access to employment, which is critical for healthy ageing. As the world reflects on the impact that COVID-19 has had on older people in the context of the Decade of Healthy Ageing, sharing findings about addressing the changes and challenges for older women in the workplace can better support a more gender-balanced world.During a global pandemic where the needs of older persons need greater attention, it is vital to support this population and support well-being as best as possible.
